In April 2003 the New Brunswick government passed legislation which permanently protected around 145,000 hectares of wilderness in our province. Those areas are depicted on the map below in dark green. To find out more about each of these areas, click on the menu to the left or on the map below.  The orange dots on this map represent the approximate locations of the Class I Protected areas, discussed elsewhere on this site.
