Black River Protected Area |

Location: adjacent to Kouchibouguac National Park Size: 4000 ha
Description: This area will be protected by the provincial government in a way that complements conservation of ecosystems in the national park. It encompasses part of the Black River and its tributaries, and outstanding ecologically significant bogs located to the northwest of the national park boundary. Notes: about a quarter of this site is regenerating following forest harvesting
