Canoose Flowage Protected Area

Location:north of St. Stephen

Size: 3990 ha

Description:  This natural area encompasses the wetlands around the Canoose Flowage and Canoose Stream. It includes several bogs and swamps that are home to rare and uncommon plants, and provide excellent waterfowl habitat.
 

Notes:

  • elevation ranges from 100-140m.

  • the headwaters of the Canoose Flowage are a rich waterfowl breeding and nesting area
