As a Board Member, you will help staff with conservation projects, organize events, raise funds, and increase public awareness of our conservation work.

Time commitment: 4 board meetings a year (weekday meetings in the evenings), help with occasional events, about 6-10 hours per year on fundraising activities.

Skills needed: enthusiasm, good organizational skills, reliability.

Skills developed: learn how non-profits work, fundraising skills, have fun networking, get behind the scenes on conservation campaigns.

As a Communications Assistant, you will write articles, submit or take photos, and help with our chapter newsletter.

Time commitment: 5-10 hours per year

Skills needed: photography, writing or desktop publishing, interest in communications.

Skills developed: publishing, design, marketing and journalistic skills.

Help promote our activities by sharing stories, videos and photos online (Facebook, Twitter,  website)

Time commitment: as much time as you want to spend online! 1-2 hours per month would help.

Skills needed: familiarity with online networking and social media.

Skills developed: you’ll be learning about our conservation programs while honing your communications and writing skills.

CPAWS NB is always looking for ideas and help to spread the news about nature conservation in New Brunswick.  Do you have any ideas? Are you in a group or organization that would like to have a guest speaker? Would you like to throw an event to help us raise awareness and funds? Is there some other way that you can help us which we haven’t mentioned? Please let us know.

As New Brunswick is a bilingual province, we would like to present our materials in both official languages. We are looking for people who would like to translate our  webpages, social media posts, and newsletters. Any help would be appreciated.
